As my inbox is flooded with pre-Black Friday sales it occurs to me that perhaps I should go in my son’s room and figure out what I am buying (and not buying) for Christmas this year.
Every single time I set foot in my son’s bedroom I become immediately overwhelmed with the piles of toys, games and assorted “junk”. This time I actually entered the room with a giant trash bag in hand. My plan was to start tossing stuff while the child was at school.
This is what I found.
As you can imagine I am not anxious to add to this sh-t show. I can barely handle my daily housekeeping tasks let alone keep up my with my kid’s stuff. Some organization is in order. In fact, I am not doing any shopping until this mess is under control.
With that in mind these are the items I am recommending for my mess, and possibly yours. All are from Amazon. As an amazon affiliate I do receive a small payment for any purchases made through my links.
Products to organize your kids stuff
You know, all those annoying little balls, party favors, cars and tiny action figures. The stuff you want to toss but know your kid will freak out if you do.
My child has no less thank 20k stuffed characters in all shapes and sizes. I am tired of them being shoved into a bin on the floor of his closet.
What is it about children not being able to use a closet? Even if I hang the clothing myself it somehow ends up in a ball on the floor. With the dresser clothing is rolled up in balls and pushing out of the drawers.
School and Art Supplies
Since starting kindergarten we have amassed a large collection of dry erase markers, crayons and pencils. And paper. Oh and we have always had entire too many books jammed onto the book shelf.
On the Go
While I was freaking out about the condition of my son’s room I also got myself in a tizzy about how much crap he leaves in my car. This might be the answer to my problems.
